College Scholarships for Club Volunteers


Would you like to earn a college scholarship? High school seniors and college students who are interested in helping at risk children and youth can earn a college scholarship of $1,500 to $2,500 by volunteering at the Frank Callen Boys & Girls Clubs 3 to 4 afternoons a week for 10 months. College students are also eligible to have their student loan interest waived during their period of service with us. Call us for details at (912) 224-2120.

The Frank Callen Boys & Girls Clubs is an approved “AmeriCorps Affiliates” site for school year 2017-18 (Sept. 2017 – Aug. 2018). Affiliates are official members of AmeriCorps, a civil society program supported by the U.S. federal government, foundations, corporations, and other donors engaging adults in public service work with a goal of helping others and meeting critical needs in the community. The Segel AmeriCorps Education Award is a post-service benefit received by individuals who successfully complete 450 – 675 hours of service with the Frank Callen Boys & Girls Clubs over a 10 to12 month period. To participate, an interview, application, background check, U.S. citizenship status (a federal requirement) and the ability to commit to 10 months of volunteering with the Frank Callen Boys & Girls Clubs are required.
